Does MB stand for Makcik Bawang?

Perak MB Ahmad Faizal Azumu is in hot water over some silly things he really should have known better than to voice out in public.

Meanwhile, it was a weekend of tragedies with another death at a tahfiz school, a new twist in the basikal lajak case and two horrifying murder cases in Sabah.

Take a chill pill, people

Rilek lah, said AG Tommy Thomas to people who’ve been calling for his sacking following a decision to drop two additional charges against a DAP assemblyman for alleged links to a defunct militant organisation.

Jho Low: The bear who became a chicken

Yesterday we learned Jho Low is “hiding like a chicken”, just not in Cyprus. Yesterday we also learned that IGP Hamid Bador is obsessed with animals, or at least maybe comparing Jho Low to animals.

Meanwhile, we also learned the prosecution in the recent LTTE case has decided to drop two additional charges against a DAP assemblyman in connection to the defunct militant group; that fuel subsidies should be replaced with spending on public transportation; and, that PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad still doesn’t believe anyone can run the country but himself.

It’s a six-cornered fight in Tanjung Piai

From BN vs. PH, the battle for Tanjung Piai has morphed into a right royal rumble featuring six candidates. Could one (or more) of ’em play spoiler? Also, voters are being told not to focus on race. Yes, even though almost everything about this by-election to date has been about race.

Elsewhere in today’s newsletter, the cops are being tasked with investigating themselves (yes, seriously) and it looks like it’s true, Malaysian don’t make enough money to get by.

Here’s how Jho Low and Zakir Naik are the same

Jho Low is alive and well. He’s sunning himself all over the Middle East, living it up with his royal friends and has been granted asylum from “human rights and political” persecution. Which kinda sounds like Zakir Naik, doesn’t it?

In other news, the alleged LTTE supporters arrested recently in Malaysia have been hit with additional charges which may see them spend the rest of their lives in prison; and, the mind games have begun ahead of nomination day for the Tanjung Piai by-election tomorrow.
