Howdy folks,

We hope you are all well – or as well as can be in our world of global pandemics and enforced stay-at-home orders. 
 
A few months ago, we sent you guys an email survey, asking if Between The Lines is a service you would be willing to pay for.

We asked that question because this newsletter, while a passion project of ours, is also an expensive undertaking, and we needed to find ways to keep it running/chugging along.
 
Since then, Covid-19 has hit us, and BTL has suffered along with most other people – our already shallow pockets have gotten shallower as the gigs we do to support the newsletter have gone the way of the dodo. 
 
Luckily, we’ve also spent the past few months working out how to migrate BTL from the free newsletter that it is today to the paid format that we are aiming to move to. And we are finally ready for THE MOVE!
 
From May 4th onwards, the newsletter will come with a monthly subscription of RM10. This week you will get a welcome email informing you of your new account on betweenthelines.my, and sometime shortly before May 4, you will be prompted for the payment. We’ve put together a short FAQ list, which you can check out here. If you have further questions, hit us up at [email protected]. 
 
Many of you have been on this journey with us through the past 13 months and we are really hoping you will continue to be with us as we move forward with this. If all of you do, it will enable us to build out our offering even more, do more journalism and continue giving all of you the content, context and insight (and in some cases, levity!) you come to us for. 
 
For those of you who decide not to move ahead with the paid subscription, we would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support all this while. We’ll be here if you change your minds. 🙂
